The National Eviction Team (headed by Martin Leyshon and Mike Anderson) was originally set up to assist Under Sheriffs and their officers who were facing large scale evictions within their county.  It received the seal of approval, via the Sheriff's National Campaign, as one of the ways forward in galvanising Sheriffs in England and Wales.

Since that time much has happened within the enforcement of High Court Writs of Possession.  The High Sheriff's powers have been transferred to Authorised High Court Enforcement Officers.  The bailiwick structure has been removed allowing HCEO's to enforce anywhere in England and Wales.  Writs are now issued in the name of the HCEO as opposed to the name of the High Sheriff.

Responsibility and accountability are two words that spring to mind when removing people from height and below ground, or indeed from lock-ons and unsafe buildings.  However, this is a responsibility that we at UK Evict Ltd, through our vast experience and knowledge, accept and specialise in.

Changes to the structure of High Court enforcement came into force on 1 April 2004. Responsibility for High Court enforcement passed from the High Sheriffs to High Court Enforcement Officers (HCEO). The regional monopolies of Sheriffs will and the boundaries created by their shreivalties were be abolished.

Claimants and their Solicitors are now able to select any registered HCEO of their choice to enforce any writ in any part of England & Wales.
